So this is going to be a 16 cubic foot rooftop box that's kind of a middle of the road size great for some sedans and SUVs and it's going to be a really versatile one too. When it comes to rooftop boxes they're great for a number of things whether you go for the ski and snowboard side of things or camping gear, luggage, that sort of thing. And depending on the shape of the box they might lend themselves better to those activities. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at the Yakima SkyBox NX 18. This is going to be a large, but also versatile roof box and it has some extra features you might be interested in. The Yakima SkyBox series are really popular roof boxes because of the types of cargo they can carry. So on a range of skis to suitcases, they're more on the suitcases scale because of the height of the roof box, while also providing a lot of cargo space. Now this is the NX series, so the NX 18 is a larger box with upgraded features like a nicer finish, a nicer clamp, and really easy-to-use mounting system. It also has its pros and cons though, so we'll talk about that in this video to see if it's right fit for you, your vehicle, and whatever you're carrying. more

Yakima SkyBox NX 18 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2011 GMC Yukon- Video
Hi everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at how the Yakima Sky Box NX18 roof cargo box fits on our 2011 GMC Yukon. The NX18 is a good pairing for the Yukon because it's a big box for a big car. So this is very versatile where you have a lot of height for larger bags and suitcases. We also have a lot of length for your longer skis. With this being the 18, it's a larger box in the Sky Box NX series and it's a good fit for the Yukon as well with the length because I didn't have to do anything special but we still have clearance with the back hatch and a lot of space up front. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at how the Yakima SkyBox NX 18 roof cargo box fits on our 2014 Toyota Prius V. So if you're going on big adventures and you have a lot of cargo, you need a big box. So if you're familiar with the Yakima Sky Box design it's very versatile where you have a good amount of height for your larger cargo as well as a good amount of width or length. Now this is going to be the SkyBox NX18, so it's the larger sky box and it's new and improved, so the upgraded version and the main thing with the Toyota Prius V with me putting this box on here is I'm really surprised it fits so well. We have this large box, we have all that cargo space but I do not compromise with opening up the hatch. So we have hatch clearance and full visibility in the front. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 rooftop box and seeing how it fits on our 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon. So one thing I do wanna note is that this roof box does work with your factory bars. That's how we have it installed today. You can totally use it with aftermarket crossbars if you have those too. But since your Outback probably is gonna come with factory raised rails and these factory crossbars it is important to know that it fits because a lot of crossbars from the factory are a lot thinner and sometimes don't work with as many accessories. more

Inno Shadow 16 Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Inno Shadow 16 Rooftop box and seeing how it fits on the top of our 2022 Subaru Outback. So I do wanna point out right away that we are using this with factory crossbars. That's pretty important to note because sometimes factory crossbars will have a lower weight capacity than aftermarket ones and generally they're gonna be a lot smaller, so fitting certain accessories is going to be a bit more difficult. So if something works with factory crossbars which a lot of these Subarus have, it's good to know because you wanna make sure the accessory you're looking at works with those. Now it's gonna work just fine with aftermarket crossbars too, pretty much anything will but with these ones you wanna know that it's working with those. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Rooftop Cargo Box and how it fits on our 2021 Volkswagen Atlas. So with the Atlas, we have a decent amount of storage in the back, but maybe you're looking to get some longer or maybe some messier items, something like a golf bag, skis and snowboards, or just anything that you don't wanna keep inside your vehicle, you'd rather get it up on the roof and protect it at the same time, this is a great way to do that, so let's check out how it works. The box is able to fit up to 16 feet of cubic storage, or the way that we phrase it, is up to three people's worth of stuff, and it's going to add on, at its highest point, 16 inches of height onto your overall system. That's the number you gonna wanna keep in mind as far as, "Can I sore this in my garage Do I need to take it off when I'm not using it" Or if there might be any clearance issues elsewhere. Also, the box itself weighs 48 pounds, so factoring that in and keeping account of your crossbars, your feet, and your roof rating, in the case of the Atlas, we found that that number is 200, so we wanna make sure that with the box, everything we're loading up inside, we wanna keep it under that number. more

Inno Roof Box Review - 2018 Nissan Rogue- Video
Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at how the Inno Shadow 16 Rooftop cargo box fits on the 2018 Nissan Rogue. This is gonna be a 13 cubic feet rooftop cargo box, I really like some of its features, like how easy it is to open and get access inside, although the clamps can be a little tricky compared to some other boxes, but with how this fits on the Nissan Rogue, I think it's a really good fit especially when it comes to the length of the box. So the whole box is gonna be 78 inches and three quarter inches long, which is a pretty long box, fit for cargo, different shapes and sizes but the main thing is, can you open up your hatch Well, with where we have this installed, we still have full access to our hatch even though there's a teeny tiny gap I left right behind there to fully max out that length. So this gives you access to your storage space of your vehicle, but also the storage space of the box. Notice where we have the box mounted to the crossbars, if you have a Nissan Rogue with raised rails, you can just move those rails back and, or the crossbars back and forth to get the best fit, in this case here you also have the ability to slide the box back and forth to fit on the rails. The tracks underneath there is a lot, so no matter what you could get, definitely get it into the right spot on your Rogue. more

So, if you're looking for a little bit of extra space for your Honda Odyssey, a rooftop cargo box is a great way to achieve that. There are some downsides though, like here, we have the factory roof rack, so we can't really get it onto any overhang. Ideally, you just center it onto your roof, which does make it a little tricky to get into. Inno Roof Box Review - 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Inno Wedge 660 Rooftop Box on the top of our 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Now, right away, you're probably noticing the color match on the box to the vehicle. That's something that's pretty unique about this particular box is the fact that you've got choices for the different colors. We've got it in white right now, but you can also get it in black, both of them are gonna have the same 11 cubic feet of capacity inside and have the same features, just offer you that nice different look to color match to your vehicle if you want it to, and I think it works really well in this application. It's got an ABS plastic construction, which is very normal for a rooftop box, but it has an acrylic top layer that helps it really match the shine of the paint color on our vehicle, so it looks like it really belongs. more

A rooftop cargo box like this might be a good option for you if you're looking to store some longer items like a golf bag, skis or snowboards, things that generally won't fit in the back of your vehicle, you might not just wanna keep them there, and you wanna keep them protected from the elements while you're moving, this could be a good option for you. We have our rooftop cargo box centered on our crossbars here, because it is accessible from both sides. Both sides will have a locking system with this key here, all you basically do is turn the key to make sure that it's unlocked, then you push this button, and you can lift up the cargo box. It's nice that it stays up on its own, so you can have it up while you're loading and unloading without having to hold it up the whole time. more

Hi everyone. Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the in Inno Wedge Plus Rooftop Box on our 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Now a rooftop box on a Gladiator might not be the first thing you think of, but we do have a bit of a smaller truck bed, and especially, if you've got a Tonneau cover on there, on a long trip you might be wanting some more cargo space and you're not really gonna find it inside the vehicle. Rhino-Rack MasterFit Rooftop Cargo Box Review - 2021 Jeep Gladiator- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Rhino-Rack MasterFit rooftop box here on our 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Now a rooftop box on a Gladiator might seem like kind of odd to you but it actually does serve a pretty good purpose because you've got a smaller truck bed and especially with this one having a tonneau cover, you are limited on space in the back and if you're taking a big road trip or you maybe have some oversized items in the bed maybe you've got some bikes back there. It is going to be a little difficult to fit extra cargo inside the Jeep because it's not super big inside. The next best place to put that stuff is on the roof I think, especially if you've got certain items like skis and snowboards that you maybe want to keep separate from the other stuff, you don't want it banging around in the back of the bed with everything else, you want it up top protected. A rooftop box is gonna be great for that, great for luggage and this one especially is gonna have a lot of room. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at how the Rhino-Rack MasterFit rooftop box, the extra large version that's 18 cubic feet fits on the 2015 Ford Edge. So if you're planning on going out for an adventure or a road trip, it's pretty helpful to have a place that's not just your trunk or your hatch to store your extra sports gear, luggage, skis, snowboards, things like that. So a rooftop box would be a great option for that. This creates more space above your roof but it's also sleek and even though this is the 18 and 1/2 cubic feet version it is a good fit for the Ford Edge. So this is a very close fit meaning you can open up the hatch but you are gonna have to make some adjustments so that it doesn't touch. So here, with our hatch fully open all the way there you can see the clearance between the box and the hatch is like about a millimeter of space in between. more
